Tuition Fee and Financial Aid
The tuition fee at the Kyiv School of Economics is Euro 3,000 per student per year.
For Ukrainian Students:
For the first year of studies (2010-11 academic year), KSE provides:
* 10 full first-year scholarships covering the full first-year tuition fee of the top 10 students based on the admission exams
* 20 partial first-year scholarships covering half of the first-year tuition fee (i.e. Euro 1,500) of the students ranked from 11 to 30 on the admission exams.
All students who receive scholarships for the first year of studies should maintain B on average on their cumulative GPA, at the end of miniterm II of the first year. If a student does not maintain this average, he/she will be required to pay tuition.
For the second year of studies (2011-12 academic year), KSE provides:
* For the MA in Financial Economics: 3 full second-year scholarships (covering the full second-year tuition fee) and 7 partial second-year scholarships (covering half of the second-year tuition fee, i.e. Euro 1,500).
* For the MA in Economic Analysis: 7 full second-year scholarships (covering the full second-year tuition fee) and 13 partial second-year scholarships (covering half of the second-year tuition fee, i.e. Euro 1,500).
Scholarships for the second year of studies will be allocated based on the results of the student’s academic performance (cumulative GPA) during the first year of studies. Students, who have a higher ranking at the end of the first year of studies, will get the first choice in selecting among the above mentioned scholarships for the second year of studies.
All students who receive scholarships for the second year of studies should maintain B on average on their cumulative GPA during the second year. If a student does not maintain this average, he/she will be required to pay tuition.
All scholarship recipients will be required to sign a scholarship agreement with KSE.
For International Students:
Full scholarships for both years are also available to students from Belarus and Moldova who are admitted to the Kyiv School of Economics. The students from Belarus and Moldova accepted to the KSE are awarded full scholarships founded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The information about the number of available scholarships for the international students can be received in the KSE Development Office (room 328). The international students will be required to submit an application for financial support by July 15, 2010, 15:00.
Deferred Tuition
Tuition payments can be deferred, in full or partially, in case of financial need (except for the second year of the MA in Financial Economics). The decision on deferred tuition is made based on an interview conducted by a committee of representatives of the KSE administration, which is held shortly after the admission exams. At the interview, students should provide documents supporting their request for financial support.
In order to be qualified to apply for the housing support, students should be ready to submit the documents listed below to the KSE Office by the time of the interview, as well as take an interview:
* certificate about family composition (“äîâ³äêà ïðî ñêëàä ñ³ì’¿” ç ÆÊÎ);
* certificate(s) about financial status of the family for the last year (parents, husband/wife, guardian) (“äîâ³äêà ïðî ô³íàíñîâèé ñòàí ÷ëåí³â ñ³ì’¿”);
* Statement of purpose justifying the need in deferring tuition;
Optional: any other documents that a student deems as appropriate to submit (parents’ death certificate, certificate
of disability).
If given such deferred tuition, a student is expected to start contributing to the program three months after graduating from KSE, at a rate of Euro 100 per month until the total tuition amount due by the students is reached.
Deferred Housing
Students from outside of Kyiv can apply for the deferred housing support to cover the costs of their stay in Kyiv. Deferred housing support is awarded in the same way as deferred tuition.
