Scholarships and Financial Aid

A listing of all scholarships available for incoming students and the eligibility requirements for each scholarship will be published on the KSE website and distributed by the program by the admission exams. The application process for scholarships will begin after the admission results have been posted on July 14, 2008. At that time, all students accepted to the program who would like to apply for a scholarship should submit the necessary documents (including an application and any required records of personal and/or family finances, and supporting documents) to the KSE Office by 15:00 on July 15, 2008. Applications for scholarships will not be accepted before July 14, 2008 or after the deadline. The list of all students awarded scholarships will be posted by July 21, 2008

In order to be qualified to apply for scholarships, students should be ready to submit the documents listed below to the KSE Office by July 15, 2008, 15:00, as well as take an interview:

  • certificate about family composition (“äîâ³äêà ïðî ñêëàä ñ³ì’¿” ç ÆÊÎ);
  • certificate(s) about financial status of the family for the last year (parents, husband/wife, guardian) (“äîâ³äêà ïðî ô³íàíñîâèé ñòàí ÷ëåí³â ñ³ì’¿”);
  • Statement of purpose for scholarships/deferred payment;
  • Optional: any other documents that a student deems as appropriate to submit (death certificate, certificate of disability).

In the past academic years, scholarships to Ukrainian students of the MA Program in Economics have been generously provided by the following organizations: Citigroup Foundation, Dragon Capital, Industrial Union of Donbas, ING Bank Ukraina, Kraft Foods Ukraina, National Bank of Ukraine, Open Society Institute, SEB Bank, Soyuz-Viktan, TAS Kommerzbank, Tetra Pak Ukraine, as well as by MA Program in Economics professors and alumni.

Scholarships for Intermational Students

The students from Belarus and Moldova accepted to the master's program are awarded full scholarships founded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). Scholarships for students from South Caucasus region (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia) will granted only upon obtainment of relevant donor funding.

The information about the number of available scholarships for the international students can be found at the KSE website (www.kse.org.ua/scholarships) or in the KSE Development Office (room 19). The international students will be required to submit an application for financial support by July 15, 2008, 15:00.

All scholarship recipients will be required to sign a scholarship agreement with KSE.
