KSE FacultyKyiv School of Economics is the only institution in Ukraine at which faculty members hold a Ph.D. degree from reputable Western universities. Most of the faculty are Western-trained economists from Ukraine and neighboring countries with a strong research background, as well as visiting professors from universities in Western Europe and North America.
KSE also actively involves practitioners from the industry who provide a practitioner-oriented component to the KSE general curriculum and are involved in teaching various courses devoted to management, business strategies, financial and strategic planning.
Business Education Faculty
Professional experience: Alastair Nicholson is a visiting professor of Kyiv School of Economics, Emeritus Professor of Operations and Technology Management at London Business School. Mr. Nicholson used to be a consultant to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, director of Lean Consultancy. Alastair Nicholson is a consultant specializing in managing business operations: mergers, new product development, core process identification, strategic initiative. He also has experience of business development in Poland and Russia.
Professional experience: Andriy Stavytskyy, visiting professor of Kyiv School of Economics. Mr. Stavytskyy teaches at the KSE MBA program. Andriy Stavytskyy - Associate Professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, ECTS Coordinator and national expert of Ukrainian team HERE. Mr. Stavytskyy has extensive experience of teaching at Edinburgh Business School Eastern Europe, Vilnius University (Lithuania) and is senior research fellow at Academy of Financial Management. Professor Stavytskyy is an author of more than 25 course books and 90 academic papers.
Professional experience: Arkadiy Vershebenyuk, adjunct professor of Kyiv School of Economics. Mr. Vershebenyuk teaches at the KSE MBA program. He is also a visiting instructor at Higher School of Economics. Arkadiy Vershebenyuk held senior leadership positions in such companies as Uber Ukraine (General Director), Colliers International (Managing director and investment consultant). Mr. Vershebenyuk also worked as a consultant of Egon Zehnder, is a founder of AV Translations company and also a member of Supervisory council of ICU alumni.
Professional experience: Andrii Bolshakov, adjunct professor of Kyiv School of Economics. Mr. Bolshakov teaches at the KSE MBA program. Andrii Bolshakov is a business management professional with over 10 years of senior-level experience in such companies as McKinsey, Metinvest Holding, SCM, Agricom Group, Deloitte. Andrii worked on the boards of Ukrainian companies and was responsible for Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Investments. He led Ukraine’s major M&A and Capital Markets deals, has experience in Metals & Mining, Energy, Agriculture & Food and in diversified conglomerates.
Professional experience: Vasile Tofan - adjunct professor of Kyiv School of Economics. Mr. Tofan teaches at the KSE MBA program. Vasile Tofan serves as a partner of Horizon Capital, he has 10 years of management and consulting experience in the FMCG, healthcare and tech sectors. Mr. Tofan worked extensively across emerging markets, including Russia, Romania, Slovakia and Nigeria.
Professional experience: Tymur Sarbaiev, tutor of Kyiv School of Economics and Edinburgh Business School Eastern Europe. Tymur Sarbaiev is a consultant on strategic management, crisis management, acceleration of business and also is a coach of personal and professional development of top managers and business owners. Mr. Sarbaiev has a big experience with business development in many international and Ukrainian companies.
Professional experience: Joachim Bentz - adjunct professor of Kyiv School of Economics. Mr. Bentz teaches at the KSE MBA program. He serves as Business Intelligence Director at Imperial Tobacco and Consumer Marketing Director at Beiersdorf. Having worked for more than 15 years at many different levels in global organizations, Mr. Bentz developed and implemented effective local strategies for FMCG companies in Ukraine, Russia, Germany and Chile.
