Available article databases/aggregators

JSTOR ( www.jstor.org ) aggregator offers full texts of the articles in Economics (16), Finance (7) and other subjects' journals. Please note that JSTOR has the policy of so called "moving wall”, which "represents the time period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the most recently published issue of a journal. It is specified by publishers in their license agreements with JSTOR, and generally ranges from 3 and 5 years. In calculating the moving wall, the current, incomplete year is not counted." (Cited from http://www.jstor.org/about/movingwall.html )

The KSE Library also has an access to other powerful article databases and aggregators that have current issues in them. We would recommend EBSCO ( http://search.ebscohost.com ) which includes about 5500 full-text electronic journals, newspapers, newsletters, as the first stop to search for an article. Unlike JSTOR, it does not have the old issues from 1980s and before, so the two major aggregators are mutually complementary. To access EBSCO, go to http://search.ebdcohost.com Then, you will see the list of databases EBSCO provides. Tick Business Source Premier, Master FILE Premier, Academic Search Premier and ERIC and begin the search.

Very powerful article database is ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com). The  KSE Library has access to the economic collection (current and archives).

Other article databases KSE has an access to include Blackwell Publishing STM (science/technology/medicine) electronic journals collection ( http://blackwell-synergy.com ) and Springer Publishing electronic journals database ( http://link.springer.de).

The KSE Library has a listing of articles previously used for teaching various courses in KSE and stored in full text (in print) at the library. The listing can be found in MS Access file at EERC Intranet server kitty/public/library/Available_xerocopies_single_table.
