Swedish Initiative for Belarus and Moldova

The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, a member of the Economics Education and Research Consortium, has set aside funds specifically to support students from Belarus and Moldova.

Citizens of Belarus and Moldova accepted into the EERC master’s program will receive full scholarships from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs to cover their tuition and living expenses at the program. Furthermore, these students receive the same benefits as Ukrainians and, in addition, may have the opportunity to visit the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics and East European Economies (SITE) during their second year of study. This is an excellent opportunity for the students to investigate the PhD program at the Stockholm School of Economics, to meet with the economic faculty, and to participate in the school’s activities.

Belarusian and Moldovan applicants to the EERC program are exempted from the Ukrainian language admission exam in July. However, if accepted to the program, students are required to take a separate course in “Ukrainian for International Students” during the first two miniterms of the first academic year.
